The episode opens on the 22nd of July 2009, with Im Sol (female lead) laying on a hospital bed, lost in thoughts. She was involved in a serious accident that cost her the ability of walking for the rest of her life. She grabbed a piece of glass as she wished to end her life.
Elsewhere A group of young men from the new band Eclipse appear on a radio broadcast for an interview. In the radio station, they call a random person and conduct a popularity test.
During Sun Jae's (male lead) turn, he randomly called Im Sol's phone, but she hesitated to answer it.However, she takes up the phone due of another patient's concern about noise.
Sun Jae asked her on call if she knew about his band Eclipse, which she responded she didn't and was going to hang up the phone. However, the host announces that she has won a pair of shoes since she failed to recognize them. Sol is enraged with them for insulting her condition and expressing her desire to walk.
Sunjae took the microphone and thanked her for staying alive, encouraging her to continue living for those who love her. Im Sol was moved by his remarks and began crying.
The scene was moved ahead to December 31, 2022, when Sol appeared to be more happier and had adapted her life in a wheelchair. Sol has also become an avid fan of the Eclipse Band, with a preference for Sunjae. Her room is filled with Sunjae posters and merchandise. In addition, she purchased Sunjae's watch for 3 million won at an auction. Sol was excited to attend the Eclipse concert, which was taking place for the first time in five years.
On the other hand, Sungjae was turning down drama opportunities against the wishes of his managers. He was exhausted and wanted to retire from idol life.
Sol was on the way to the concert, her friend revealed that sol had a crush on another student in high school and was clueless that Sunjae attended a high school nearby.
At the concert, Sol receives a call from the job interview she applied for. The interviewer requested a quick visit to the office. Sol agrees to go because the performance still has two hours to start. Unfortunately, the interview did not go well because the office was not wheelchair-accessible.
Sol got stuck in traffic on the way back to the concert. She arrives late and persuades officials to let her in, but her ticket gets lost on the way.
She enjoys hearing concerts from the outside and gets emotional when Sunjae sings their debut song.
After the concert, the band's leader, In Hyuk, lashes out at Sunjae over his retirement decision. He was disappointed that he hadn't told them earlier. Sunjae, who was going through a difficult moment, asked him to leave him alone.
Someone knocked Sol, and her phone dropped and broke. Sol couldn't call her friend and had to push her wheelchair to home. Her electric wheelchair's battery died and it came to a stop in the middle of the bridge. It started snowing, and she felt cold.
Sunjae, who was driving past the bridge, notices Sol and approaches her. Sunjae provides her an umbrella and a heat pad to keep her warm in the snow.
She thanked him for the unknowingly provided encouragement throughout the years and offered a bottle of candy as a sign of gratitude. He offers her a ride, but her friend arrive.
Later, Sol began fangirling while going over concert images. Meanwhile, Sunjae, who was seen on his room's balcony, unexpectedly fell into the swimming pool. Within moments, news of his suicide attempt went throughout the internet.
Sol rushes out after hearing the news, holding his watch. She nearly crashes a bicycle and drops the watch into a pond. She went to the pond and threw herself to find the watch.
At the same moment, Sunjae was declared dead. According to the news, he died by himself after a long struggle with depression.
Sol found the watch, saw the news, and felt heartbroken. Suddenly, time stops and she awakens as a highschool student. She can feel her legs and assumes she is dreaming. She went outside the classroom to find Sunjae at his school.
She finds him practising swimming for the Olympics. She hugs him and cries, apologizing for not understanding his pain. She suddenly confesses her love. He was startled by all she said as security pulled her out.
She felt pain in her leg and wondered whether she'd died. Sunjae meets her at the bridge, and Sol believes they are spirits and asks him to live with her. He called out for a taxi as he ran away from her.
At that moment, her mother calls and condemns her for skipping the class. Sol realises she was in the year 2008, a few days before her accident . She goes to sleep, hoping that the dream will end when she wakes up.
The next morning, she wakes up in same year and get excited. She decides to change Sunjae's fate and rushes to school. When she saw Sunjae, she began to cry, remembering his death. Sunjae noticed her crying while standing in the rain and approach her with an umbrella.
