LOVELY RUNNER EPISODE 4 RECAP

The episode begins with a flashback to Sunjae saving Sol in an accident. Sol, who has lost her walking ability, blames him for saving her. At the time, she believed death was a better option and had no idea Sunjae was her saviour.

 when Sunjae met Sol at the bridge, he recognised her immediately but she doesn’t remember him. Sol gives him candy and leaves. Sunjae quietly follows and observes her till she enters her home.

Back in 2023, Sol wakes up in the hospital while Sunjae's funeral is taking place. Hyuk notices Sol passing by the corridor.

Police pay a visit to Sol because she was the last person he met, and they present a photo of them together found in Sunjae's hotel. Im Sol is shocked and believes the future has changed.

Sol returns to the river and repeats the act in hopes of returning to the past, but nothing happens. 

Later, Sol receives a call from Hyuk, who reveals Sunjae has felt obligated to her his entire life; however, before he can explain further, the phone disconnects and Sol is unable to reach him.

At 12, the watch malfunctions, and Sol notices the watch time moving from 3 to 2, understanding she only has two opportunities to save Sunjae. She presses the button and travels back to 2008.

She awakens in the middle of an exorcism as teen sol believes she is possessed due to a memory lapse.

Sol leaves to meet Sunjae, but he ignores her. Sol recalls teen Sol pushing Sunjae, calling him a pervert, and pursuing Taesung. Sol discovers she's been gone for ten days, and many things has taken place.  

The next day, Sol tries to convince Sunjae by claiming that she was possessed by a spirit, but he does not believe her.

Meanwhile, Taesung appears and calls Sol his girlfriend. Sol attempts to end things with him by pointing out that she has a dual personality and asking him to treat the other sol well when she appears. 

Later, Sol tells Hyuk not to take Sunjae to any auditions and asks him to contact her quickly if he has anything to say in the future. 

Sunjae's competitor mocks him for giving up his dream. They got in a fight. Sol suddenly emerges and knocks out the bully. She flees as she notices the teacher approaching.

Later, she witnesses Mr. Kim, Sunjae's future manager, passing his agency's card to Sunjae and Hyuk. She plans to steal the card before Sunjae looks.

She goes to Sunjae's house, and his father informs her that he went to rehabilitation after changing.  Sol realizes that the agency card must still be in Sunjae's uniform.

She sneaks into his house using her superpower to freeze time by revealing future occurrences. She discovers the card but becomes unconscious when she stumbles and a hefty book falls on her head.

Sunjae returns home and finds Sol asleep on the floor. He initially thought he was hallucinating, then became elated. 

He places his hand beside her hand and giggles.  He turned on the fan and accidentally woke her up while attempting to protect her from mosquitoes. 

She attempts to explain, but he pretends to be upset.  While talking, Sunjae realizes that Sol didn’t remember their kiss, which relieves him.

Sol tries to encourage him with the phrases he told her in the radio call. Sunjae became flustered as she got closer. He wraps her with a blanket and sneaks her out.

Outside, Sunjae confronts Sol about her endless worrying, which causes him to feel humiliated. However, she emphasizes that this is the only thing she can do for him. He asks her to stop it. His statements hurt Im Sol, who spent the night crying in her bed.

The next day, Sol meets Taesung to break up. However, it was Taesung's birthday, and Teen Sol had earlier prepared a surprise film and a large teddy as a gift. 

Taesung informs Sol that Hyuk and Sunjae went to an audition. Sol runs outside to stop Sunjae.

She met Hyuk, who informed her that Sunjae received a call from his father and left.  She rushes out and falls down the stairs. She went regardless.

Hyuk calls Sunjae and informs him about Sol. Sunjae became concerned after learning that Sol had fallen down the stairs and hurriedly left to find her.

He found Sol sleeping on the bus and missing her stop. By the time Sol woke up, the bus had arrived at its final stop. She quickly exited the bus and waited for a taxi.

A taxi was seen stalking Sol, which may be related to her previous accident. An old drunk man approaches Sol, and they fight. She threatens to contact the police, and the man takes her phone. During the conflict, Sol accidentally slips into the river.

Sun-jae, who was in a cab to find her, sees this and dives in to save her. As she sees Sun-jae swim towards her, she remembers how he saved her from a previous car accident. 

They arrive safely on land, and Sol regrets forgetting such an important detail. She cries while hugging him and Sun-jae hugs her back.

In the final epilogue, it is revealed that Sunjae intentionally called Sol during a radio broadcast.
