Lovely runner episode 3

LOVELY RUNNER EPISODE 3 RECAP

 The episode begins with Sol opening up about her inner pain from a past accident. Sunjae also apologies for misunderstanding her intention. He promises to win the gold medal and asks her to trust him.

Sunjae tells Hyuk about his plan to confess to Sol after winning Gold Model. Hyuk, being cupid, advises Sunjae to pick an appropriate timing to confess.

During the competition, Sunjae wins the gold medal in swimming and smiles happily at Sol. Later, he invites her out for a meal and looks for a suitable restaurant to propose.

Sol thought Sunjae is hungry and leads him inside a packed restaurant instead. She ordered some nutritious meals and was pleased that Sunjae won the gold medal without injury.

During the meal, Sunjae questions Sol if she still likes Taesung. She denied saying it was old history, giving Sunjae hope. 

Later, Sol takes Sunjae to a picture booth and teaches him to strike some cute pose. Meanwhile, Sunjae looks for the perfect time to confess.

On the bus, when Sol couldn't hold her pee, Sunjae thoughtfully helped her in getting off to relieve herself. He realised that his timing was always off.

Hyuk secretly set up fake snowfall in front of the house, creating the ideal setting for Sunjae to confess. Sunjae begins his confession by asking Sol to stop being his fan; Sol misinterprets what he means and requests to be friends before he can finish his sentence. 

Hyunk comforts Sunjae by explaining that Sol has not rejected him because he has not even confessed. Meanwhile, Sol was overjoyed to spend the day with her idol, believing herself a successful fan. 

Sol went to meet Sunjae the next day, but she met Taesung on the way. Taesung appears to be fond of the new version of sol.

Later, Sol received news that Sunjae was immediately sent to the hospital after suffering a sudden shoulder injury during swimming practice.

The doctor informs Sunjae that he would need surgery and three years of rehabilitation because his shoulder problem appears to be worsening. Sunjae felt devastated when the doctor said that he has barely any chance of continuing his swimming career.

Sunjae returns home and find his dad throwing a party to celebrate his victory. He informs Sunjae that he has paid for his plane ticket and professional training abroad.

Sunjae lashes out at his father for making plans without his knowledge and reveals his desire to stop swimming. His father slaps him and threatens to kick him out when he quits. Im sol overhears their conversation. 

Sol realizes she can't change fate and attempts to mark the date of her accident in a calendar, but it disappears. She begins to wonder why she traveled to the past if she couldn't change anything.

Sun-jae's father learns about his son's shoulder problem and is hurt.  He contacts Sun-jae, and the two of them discuss things out. He tells his son to undergo the operation and then think about his career options.

Sol met Hyuk and got mad thinking about his solo stans in the future who used to abuse Sunjae. Suddenly, a ball hits her face, and she recalls a memory of her house on fire, which was about to happen. She tries calling her mother and brother, but no one answers.

At home, her brother Geum forgets to switch off the gas while cooking and goes to unclog a toilet as advised by his mother. He later confronts Hyun-joo and doesn't notice the flames until it's too late.

Sol finds Taesung and convince him to give her a lift. Both reached home and rapidly extinguished the fire. Sol was relieved to change the outcome this time. Sol was grateful to Taesung for his help and offered to treat him.

Sunjae has completed his surgery, and Sol secretly sent meals for him and everyone in his room. Sunjae spot her crying for him for his surgery.

A week later, Sol went to Sunjae's house to deliver chicken soup, and in return, his father gave her a jar of syrup to consume with water. Sol drank it all without knowing it contained alcohol.

Sunjae spent some time around the pool since he was depressed over not being able to continue his swimming. He spotted a drowsy Sol hiding and help her sit.

Sol tries to cheer him up, and he found her cute. They listen to some music. She began to fall asleep, so he leaned her head into his shoulder.

However, she kept getting closer, and he became flustered, so he pulled her away. She wakes up drowsy and promises to be with him regardless of what happens. Sunjae felt moved by her comments and kissed her.

The following day, Sunjae missed the bus on which Sol was sitting. Sol was still hungover and didn't remember anything from the previous night. Sol notices her iPod has captured audio from yesterday night and listens to it.

Before Sol hears Sunjae's confession, Taesung, who wants to get rid of his ex, approaches her and proposes.

Sunjae, who was eagerly running to meet Sol, was interrupted by Taesung's confession. Suddenly, Sol returns to the future after a time glitch, where she remains in the river, watching the news of Sun-jae's death.

Meanwhile, in the past, the old sol who had a crush on Taesung reappears and agrees to his proposal, surprising Sunjae.
